if you print each page twice, you can create your own matching game.
you can have the child identify the picture and onomatopoeia while you are reading the story. (Depending on the age of the child, under 6, I would put 3 to 4 choices (pictures or words, not both) out at a time for the child to choose from while reading the story. Too many choices can be overwhelming.
